I am a wife and a mother and I grew up in the northeast. I went to college in NY and graduate school in NJ and I spent 16 years working in Human Resources for a major corporation. My family and I now live in Austin, TX, where we love the lifestyle, the (usually warm) climate, the great food and the incredible music scene!
Over the last several years, I've learned how making small changes in my diet and lifestyle, can have a big impact on how I feel. I've been able to eliminate some physical ailments, just by figuring out what worked and what didn't, for my body. I've also learned how swapping out some everyday pantry items and having the right ingredients on hand, can help make it easy to make healthy snacks and meals for my family. And I have learned that there are lots of ingredients in our food, personal care and home cleaning products that are toxic for our environment and for our bodies. I have made some changes there as well, to reduce the amount of toxins going into my body every day. All I had to do is know what to look for and what lookout for. And I wanted to learn more.
And that is exactly what led me to study at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I knew that this broad based training would help me incorporate more good things into my life and help me to continue my journey toward wellness and balance. It has also allowed me to become an Integrative Health Coach, Board Certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Now, I can share my knowledge and experience and support others on their journey to a healthier, happier life!
I work with my clients to create a completely personalized approach to good health that suits their unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals. And I take a broad approach to what really feeds your body...and here's a hint: it's not JUST about the food!
And it doesn't have to be hard or cumbersome. You can make some simple but beneficial changes that can have immediate and long-lasting positive effects. And you don't have to give up chocolate!!
I am so excited about all the information that I have learned along the way. And I love that there is new information, recipes and other good things to discover, every day!
